Service Workshop

Overview: The "Service Workshop" doctype is designed to manage workshop details for service management. It allows you to organize and track workshop information, including the workshop name, location, associated company, and warehouse details.

Fields:

1. Workshop Name

   • Label: Workshop Name
   • Description: Name of the workshop.
   • Required: Yes

2. Company

   • Label: Company
   • Description: Associated company for the workshop.
   • Required: Yes
   • Options: Link to "Company" doctype

3. Location

   • Label: Location
   • Description: Location of the workshop.

4. Parts Warehouse

   • Label: Parts Warehouse
   • Description: Warehouse for parts storage related to the workshop.
   • Required: Yes
   • Options: Link to "Warehouse" doctype

5. Workshop Warehouse

   • Label: Workshop Warehouse
   • Description: Warehouse specific to the workshop operations.
   • Required: Yes
   • Options: Link to "Warehouse" doctype

6. Use Spare not Item

   • Label: Use Spare not Item
   • Description: Check this box if the workshop uses spare parts instead of items.
   • Default: No

Usage:

1. Navigate to the Service Management module.
2. Select "Service Workshop" from the list of available doctypes.
3. Click on "New" to create a new workshop record.
4. Fill in the required details such as "Workshop Name", "Company", "Parts Warehouse", and "Workshop Warehouse".
5. Optionally, specify the workshop location.
6. Check the "Use Spare not Item" box if applicable.
7. Save the record.

Notes:

• Ensure to fill in accurate and detailed information for proper workshop management.
• The "Parts Warehouse" and "Workshop Warehouse" fields are required for inventory and operational purposes.
• Use the "Use Spare not Item" checkbox to indicate the workshop's inventory management approach.
